Beach Volleyball

This is my game. Maximum sports performance is a must. It requires flexibility, strength, endurance, hand-eye coordination, focus and anticipation. I feel like a winner by just playing with guys and girls half my age and holding my own. Winning games more than half the time is extremely rewarding. We generally play for 3-5 hours on a weekend day. Three to five hours of strenuous exercise is taxing, but it is one of the best ways to ensure a good night’s sleep.

Basketball

Playing basketball tests your sports performance. It requires flexibility, strength, endurance, hand-eye coordination, focus, and anticipation. Playing on a hard court is more jarring than volleyball on the sand. But it’s sure easier to jump higher from a solid surface than from the sand. Being tall is a great advantage, but we don’t have any supplements for that.

Surfing, Swimming, SUP

Surfing requires flexibility, strength, balance, endurance, focus, and anticipation. For me, it also requires holding my breath and not laughing at myself with my mouth open. The strenuous part of surfing is swimming out to catch a wave. Exhilaration is riding the wave. SUP is another form of endurance exercise on the water.

Yoga and Pilates

From gentle stretching to hot yoga, kundalini, and endurance work, yoga and Pilates stretch and exercise muscles you didn’t know you had. There are a variety of supplements available for those that enjoy yoga and Pilates.

But remember, whichever sports you engage in, the nutritional approach is a long-term game, just like life. Taking a bunch of supplements on the day you play does not have the effect of an ongoing daily approach to being your best all the time for all activities.
